Sleep, energy & daily function
How you sleep, your energy, activity, and ability to participate in daily life help us understand the concern beyond a symptom list. Changes over time can be as useful as what is happening today.
Mind & body
Mental health is part of your whole health. We want the plan to reflect both. You do not need to know which part of your health is responsible before asking for help.
Our team is invested in helping patients have competent medical care alongside thoughtful psychiatric care. We consider the relationship between physical health, symptoms, daily routines, and treatment, and coordinate with other clinicians when appropriate and authorized.
The full picture
A comprehensive assessment leaves room for medical conditions and everyday factors that may affect how you feel and function.
When relevant to your history and symptoms, we consider concerns such as nutrition, vitamin deficiencies, anemia, weight and metabolic issues, sleep disorders, immune conditions, and deconditioning. These are questions to explore in an individualized evaluation; they do not mean everyone needs the same tests or treatments.
How you sleep, your energy, activity, and ability to participate in daily life help us understand the concern beyond a symptom list. Changes over time can be as useful as what is happening today.
We consider medical history, current treatment, and medication effects or interactions as part of the psychiatric picture. When another clinician's assessment is needed, the plan can include a referral or coordination with your existing medical team.
Your goals, relationships, preferences, and prior experiences with care matter. We discuss possible approaches in plain language so the plan fits the person who will be living with it.
Integrative psychiatric care
Medication may be helpful, but it is one part of a broader conversation. Recommendations can also include therapy, exercise and activity suited to your circumstances, attention to sleep, and management of medical conditions that may be relevant to mental health.
We weigh benefits, risks, alternatives, and your preferences together. Care can evolve as we learn more about what is helping and what needs a different approach.
